Wood Lathe Part 1: Spindle Turning

Wood Lathe Part 1: Spindle Turning In-Person

The Wood Lathe is one of the most interesting tools in the makerspace. Spindle Turning shows you how to create a cylinder from a square piece of lumber then using the various turning tools to create different profiles. This can be used to make pens, chair legs, miniature baseball bats, wizard wands, and so much more.

This training qualifies you to perform spindle turning operations.  Curious about making bowls on a lathe? Attend Wood Lathe Part 2 for an in depth training on that process. *You will not be able to make a bowl until completing part 2
