Metal Lathe Training 102

Metal Lathe Training 102 In-Person

This two hour workshop is a hands-on learning experience with our Clausing Metal Lathe machines.  Completing Hands-on training will likely require multiple sessions; but we encourage everyone to try it out!  We will discuss safety guidelines and safe handling procedures for drilling, boring, and threading.

The end of Hands-on training will have a "proficiency test" so you can show the skills you've learned.  Reducing the outer diameter of an Aluminum Rod, cutting a thread, drilling, and boring out the center; and then parting off the test piece.  This test is not graded for points and may be attempted multiple times so each user can get the practice required for use after training completion.
