Mill Training 101 In-Person
This two hour workshop is a hands-on learning experience with our Kent CNC Mill machines. Completing Hands-on training will likely require multiple sessions; but we encourage everyone to try it out! During the Introduction we will discuss safety guidelines and safe handling procedures for types of tooling, loading/unloading tools, setting Datum information, and creating a basic facing operation with the DRO control panel.
The end of Hands-on training will have a "proficiency test" so you can show the skills you've learned. You will face training materials, use the DRO panel to program tool paths, pockets, and hole patterns based off a provided schematic. This test is not graded for points and may be attempted multiple times so each user can get the practice required to successfully use the equipment after training.
